A Visual Letter to a Friend
The very First exercise at IDC was to send a Visual Letter to a friend, describing the state of mind of a newly admitted student. I really enjoyed this exercise. I chose Anuj, my architecture room-mate to be lucky one to read this 'state of mind'.
Letter and its interpretation

Dear Saurabh,
I have seen the pdf sent by u
1st comment....it is interesting, specially appears as u want to grab the fast moving...almost rushing away IDC...
Then when I see the whole composition..I realize that u have put glimpses (placed chronologically!) of the moments spent in the 5 years of collage.sort of revolving around the SSAA symbol...and u grabbing it!, ( now weather you want to leave it, or not, or even you will leave it or not...I am unable to guess through the composition).
My understanding and past association with you during those 5 years makes me confidant that u want to show the transition or the change (in attitude, say) when you are trying to grab IDC and may be not letting go of SSAA. This tension is superbly apparent in the motion of the figure in centre (a.k.a. Saurabh) and IDC rushing. Further, SSAA still, as a thing of past, may be....
your full attention (reflected by your face) is on to IDC...but there in a physical strain in the torso even extending up to the legs....the hands pointing out in completely opposite directions...This physical exertion suggests that probably you don't want to let go of SSAA ( i.e. collage memories/ attitude etc.).
hope it is good enough..
